The defination of Post-truth :-

"Post-truth" is a term used to describe a political and cultural climate in which emotional or personal beliefs have more influence on public opinion and policymaking than objective facts and evidence. This term gained prominence in the early 21st century as a reflection of the increasing polarization and manipulation of information in contemporary politics and media. In a post-truth environment, appeals to emotions, personal beliefs, and identity often supersede the importance of verifiable facts and truth when shaping public discourse and decision-making.

The examples of Post-truth :-

Here are some examples of Post-truth as per below...

1. Misguide some important information :-

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, false or misleading information about the virus, its origins, and prevention measures spread rapidly on social media. This undermined efforts to control the pandemic and created confusion among the public. For the impact of this misguide information public gone to the wrong way and this false information spread so faster.





2. Social influence :-

People very much attached with the social world. Social influence guide the right way but some times it may be not correct information provide to people and at that time people feel the trapped in the circumstances of social influence.


3. Election Fraud Claims :-

Following the 2020 U.S. presidential election, there were widespread and unsubstantiated claims of election fraud, despite no credible evidence supporting these allegations. The emotional impact of these claims led to political and social unrest.


4. Selective Use of Statistics :-

Politicians and interest groups sometimes selectively use statistics or data to support their claims, ignoring the broader context or presenting skewed interpretations of the information.

Impact of term Post-truth :-

Polarization :- 
Post-truth can deepen political and social polarization. Emotionally charged narratives often reinforce preexisting beliefs, leading to more extreme divisions within society.

Brain wash :-
Some people know the truth but because of this Post-truth people can't able to believe in such things and never trying to find the correct information. People believe what Post-truth shows that's the final truth nothing else. But it's not true, it's called laziness to find some truth with actual meaning. This Post-truth do sometimes brain wash of many people.

Distrust in Expertise :-
Post-truth this can hinder effective decision-making in fields like public health, environmental policy, and more, as public opinion becomes disconnected from expert consensus.

Wind up :-
